Your best interests are the priority of everyone who works with us
In a modern world of big business and corporate companies it is sometimes difficult to maintain the personal touch and give the service that was once expected from everyone. G W Turner Funeral Directors try to preserve that standard that was set by our predecessors. To that end, our staff are all local residents who know the local traditions and are familiar with the Edgeley, Stockport Churches and Clergy. It helps us to help you when you are arranging a funeral service for someone special and who is dear to you.
Meet the team:
Neil entered the funeral service profession on leaving school and after three years’ training started conducting and arranging funerals – the youngest funeral director in his team. After a change of career to go into nursing, he returned 12 years later.
He felt the experience of nursing and caring for people in a hospital and community setting would be good for the funeral profession. He opened his own funeral home, Wythenshawe Funeral Services, and decided the business should join Funeral Partners in 2013. He says he is now honoured to have been asked to oversee the running of G W Turner Funeral Directors in Stockport and Wythenshawe Funeral Services, keeping him involved in both communities providing clients with excellent service at both funeral homes.
After gaining a diploma in health and social care, Stacey joined the funeral services profession in 2014 by working for sister brands Michael Kennedy and Wythenshaw Funeral Services, both part of Funeral Partners. Now she is Funeral Arranger at G W Turners and says she has learnt so much in such a short space of time.
She says she is enjoying every minute of her career, helping families at a difficult time and working within the community and one day aims to become a Funeral Director.
She says “I love all the charities we work with and I am particularly involved in the funerals of our little angels.” She has a variety of interests socialising, charity work and has also completed a course in florestry.
