About G W Turner Funeral Directors
G W Turner Funeral Directors has been serving the Stockport and surrounding community by arranging the funerals of their loved ones since 1907. We are proud of our long history and have decades of experience, which means we are experts in planning the funeral of your loved one.
The team at our Stockport funeral home will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one.
Here at G W Turner Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.
If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.
Meet the Team
Neil entered the funeral service profession on leaving school and after three years’ training started conducting and arranging funerals – the youngest funeral director in his team. After a change of career to go into nursing, he returned 12 years later.
He felt the experience of nursing and caring for people in a hospital and community setting would be good for the funeral profession. He opened his own funeral home, Wythenshawe Funeral Services, and decided the business should join Funeral Partners in 2013. He says he is now honoured to be involved in both providing clients with excellent service at both funeral homes.
After gaining a diploma in health and social care, Stacey joined the funeral services profession in 2014 by working for sister brands Michael Kennedy and Wythenshawe Funeral Services, both part of Funeral Partners. Now she is Funeral Arranger at G W Turners and says she has learnt so much in such a short space of time.
She says she is enjoying every minute of her career, helping families at a difficult time and working within the community and one day aims to become a Funeral Director.
She says “I love all the charities we work with and I am particularly involved in the funerals of our little angels.” She has a variety of interests socialising, charity work and has also completed a course in floristry.
We take pride in everything we do. Our aim is that everyone who works for Funeral Partners shares our values.
Our business exists to help the bereaved to make fitting arrangements for their loved one’s last journey and to provide lasting memories for family and friends.
We do this with a positive, caring and understanding approach.
Respect for everyone
We value diversity and treat everyone with the same respect, courtesy and dignity.
We are a professional organisation and we strive to achieve the highest possible standards in everything we do and to improve upon these standards continuously.
We accept responsibility for our actions both as a company and as individuals.
We believe that we can only achieve our goals by working together in partnership with client families, suppliers and our employees.
